Facilitators of the Indomitable Order of the Zone Ruthaz is an award presented by the Confessions of a Movie Snob podcast. It is awarded to people working in the mediums including but not limited to film making, comic books, television, and the internet.
In order to be considered for nomination one must still be living. Nothing against those who precede us but this is an easy way to limit the choices and make it easier to make our nominations.
Each Host, Co-Host and invited party is allowed one Nomination during the eligible period.
Each party will choose two nominees (one nominee, and one alternate) to be announced on the “4” issues of the podcast (issue 4, 14, 24, etc.). The nominees will not be revealed until on air on the aforementioned podcast as to allow a sense of excitement and for gut reactions to the choices.
Each person naming a nomination will be allowed one veto every eligible period. None of us wants to be associated with a website looking to honor Kim Jong-Il because of his film book. Upon a veto, each remaining host will be given a vote to allow or disallow the nomination.
The person who chooses the most recent inductee (known henceforth as the Facilitator) forfeits their nomination for the next induction. In exchange for the host privileges set forth in the rules of Ruthaz.
The privileges include:
- All veto rights
- Decision in A tie breaking situation
- MC duties for the following induction
- Choice of venue for the following induction
- all the aforementioned privileges transfer to the nominator of the newest inductee following the induction show
The winner will be named in every “0” issue (20, 30, 40, etc.).
During each eligible period (five weeks after each “4” issue) a poll will be posted on confessionsofamoviesnob.com allowing anyone with an internet connection a vote for a nominee.
Voting will be open until the final break right before the naming of the winner on the “0” issues.
Each Host, Co-host and invited party will be allowed to vote. And will be allowed to campaign for their nominee in any way within their power.
After the naming of the newest inductee, all nominees will be ineligible for re-nomination for two voting periods adding up to 20 issues. This is to allow for more names to be added to the pool.
